Valves actuate, pressure builds, sensors report healthy values — and none of it tells you what is actually inside the tank. Purity is invisible. Fuel cells, on the other hand, notice it immediately: contaminants measured in parts per million are enough to degrade sensitive downstream equipment. Fuel-cell-grade hydrogen (ISO 14687) demands 99.97 % purity, which leaves room for 300 ppm of everything else. Not much of a margin — which is why we measure constantly throughout the process.

The instrument is a gas chromatograph. It separates a gas sample into its individual components and quantifies each one — nitrogen, oxygen, moisture and the rest — down to ppm level. It is the same method we use to verify every one of our own warm flushing and first fill deliveries, so it is not a service we offer on the side. It is the standard our own work has to pass, every time.

Where and what we sample. Samples can be taken from a tank or a process line — at Kløfta, or at your site if the gas cannot come to us. Typical cases: verifying a container after flushing, troubleshooting a purity deviation, checking a supply before it reaches sensitive equipment, or documenting quality in a handover between parties who would both rather have numbers than promises.

What you receive. An analysis report with documented purity, component by component, traceable to calibrated instruments and written procedures. If the result is a pass, you have the paperwork. If it is not, you have the diagnosis — and, since flushing happens fifty metres away, a short path to the fix.

Measurement is also how we run the place. Internally we call it Gas-troscopy: using operational data and regular audits to examine not just whether a process works, but how well. The same discipline that keeps our flushing repeatable — the hundredth flush performed exactly like the first — is what your analysis report inherits.
